L’Historial de la Vendée at Lucs-sur-Boulogne on a 3,500 m² site, the richest hours of its history are on display – from prehistoric times to the present day, via an original and informative museography.
A visit to the Historial gives you the keys to a journey back in time: encounter early Neolithic hunters, stroll along a street from the Gallo-Roman era, converse with the great humanists of the Renaissance, relive the epic times of the soldiers in clogs in 1793, pay a visit to a village of the last century: a host of fascinating discoveries to make your day an unforgettable experience.
In its quest to offer something for everyone, the Historial caters in particular for young children with something unique in France, its children’s museum.
Special 2007 event: a major exhibition on the painters of the Yeu island, from Junly onwards.
