The coast: the Vendée coastline stretches for 250 km and offers a series of diverse and varied landscapes. From beaches that stretch as far as the eye can see to steep, rocky cliffs and bays, the Vendée coastline is a surprisingly diverse landscape. The coast benefits from an Atlantic climate all year round and plays host to a range of activities including water sports, walking, horse riding,cycling, and heritage and cultural attractions.
Between land and ocean: this area stretches from the north to the south of Vendée and boasts a rich diversity of landscapes. It also includes 45,000 ha of the Marais Breton, a woodland area (Bocage) and the vast plains of southern Vendée.
