MAISON DU MAÎTRE DE DIGUESCHAILLE-LES-MARAIS

CHÂTEAU DE LA GRÈVESAINT-MARTIN-DES-NOYERS
12th century château, gaining some importance in the 16th century when it experienced its greatest military feats before becoming a farm in the 19th and 20th centuries. Visits and various cultural events.
LE CHÂTEAU DE SIGOURNAISSIGOURNAIS
Feudal chateau (historical monument). Dungeon-door, surrounding wall, towers, latrines, covered walkway. Armour and models recreate the atmosphere of the late 15th century. Permanent collection of more than 700 coats of arms and contest items.
LE VIEUX CHÂTEAUL'ILE-D'YEU
Opening period : April to June and september : Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday 11:00am (last visit starts at 4:15pm) July and August : everyday, except the saturday, from 11am ( last visit starts at 5:15pm) Price Adult : 5€ (or 3.50€ pass ticket if you have visited the lighthouse) - child (7 to 16 years old) : 1.50€
CHÂTEAU DE LA GARNACHELA GARNACHE
Classed as a historic monument because of its ancient history, this mediaeval castle is one of the most prestigious ruins of Vendée. You can explore it thanks to a circuit which leads you along the 15th century ramparts. The formal French garden and the English garden allow you to savour the peace and quiet of the place. The path which runs along the dry moat, at the foot of the imposing towers, leads you to the 13th century keep where an armoury has been reconstructed. Aviary with exotic birds.
