Standing firm and proud on its rocky crag, the Château de Tiffauges opens its doors to reveal an astonishing collection of medieval war machines unique in Europe.

Let yourself be catapulted back in time and come and enjoy a half-day of spectacle and entertainment in the region’s greatest medieval visitor attraction. 8 Not to be missed: high definition 3D film and film depicting the castle’s development through the ages. 8 July and August: “Gilles, la légende”, an open-air theatrical pageant, show illustrating the art of warfare in the Middle Ages and tours in period costume for 5-8 year olds. 8 December: Christmas market.

Opening times:
April, May and September: Mondays to Fridays from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm and from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, weekends and bank holidays from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
June: Mondays to Fridays from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, weekends and bank holidays from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
July and August: daily from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Open on 17th and 18th/09: for Héritage Weekend (guided tours only): free.
