CHEMIN DE FER DE LA VENDEE

Fasten your seat belts! You are about to set off on a 2½ hour journey back in time.

From Mortagne sur Sèvre to Les Herbiers and back again, you and your fellow passengers will be transported through a succession of picturesque landscapes visible only from the train, and during the turn-around at Les Herbiers, you will get to know the signs and signals made famous by the railwaymen of old. Activities for children (aged 5-13). Enjoy lunch or dinner in the restaurant car, which is housed in an authentic Orient Express carriage complete with original fittings.

Opening times:
reservations advised (limited number of seats).
Steam train (departure: 3:30pm from the railway station of Mortagne sur Sèvre).
June and September: Sundays.
From 1st/07 to 31st/08: Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Reservations compulsory
Lunch (departure: 12:00pm and back: 3:00pm)
From 20th/05 to 28th/10: Sundays.
From 1st/07 to 30th/08: Thursdays, Saturdays (except 14th/07) and Sundays.
Special dinner on 14th July, (departure: 7:00pm and back: 11:00 pm.

Family (2 adults + 3 children): 55 €
