MAISON DE LA RIVIERE

SAINT GEORGES DE MONTAIGU

On the tree-lined banks of the Grande Maine, this modern discovery centre housed in an old water mill uses a series of interactive displays to reveal the hidden secrets of the river.

Round off your visit with the ‘Grandeur Nature’ audiovisual spectacular, where you’ll come face to face with the wonders of the natural world.
Outside, take your time for a leisurely boat ride or stroll along one of the various trails starting from the watermill. There are also cultural and festive events : “Les Estivales de la Rivière“.

Opening times:
From 1st/04 to 31st/05: Wednesdays and Saturdays from 2:00pm to 6:00pm, Sundays and bank holidays from 2:00pm to 7:00pm (from 7th/04 to 22nd/04: Tuesday to Saturday from 2:00pm to 6:00pm, Sundays and bank holidays from 2:00pm to 7:00pm.
From 1st/06 to 30th/06: Tuesday to Saturday from 2:00pm to 6:00pm, Sundays from 2:00pm to 7:00pm.
From 1st/07 to 31st/08: everyday from 11:00am to 7:00pm.
From 1st/09 to 16th/09: Tuesday to Saturday from 2:00pm to 6:00pm, Sundays from 2:00pm to 7:00pm.
From 17th/09 to 30th/09: Wednesdays and Saturdays from 2:00pm to 6:00pm Sundays from 2:00pm to 7:00pm.
*Guided afternoon boat tours on Sundays and bank holidays from 1st/05 and daily from 1st/07 to 31st/07, and Sundays from 1st/09 to 16th/09 (number of seats limited - please contact us for more information).

Adult: 4 € - Child (6-13): 2 € - Free for children under 6.
Packages featuring a visit and guided tour by boat*:
Adult: 7,50 € - Child (6-13 ans): 5 € - Child (3-5 ans): 3 €.
Boat hire (5 and 8 seats) from 8 € for ½ hour.
