The “Bourrine du Bois Juquaud” is an authentic collection of mud buildings covered in reeds.
The “Bourrine du Bois Juquaud” is a reminder of what life was like in the
Vendée Breton Marshes during the early part of the 20th century. It consists of the cottage itself, the restored “bourrine”, and a large
number of surrounding buildings, and lies at the edge of the marshes on a sand bar rich in protected vegetation.
Multimedia facilities (exhibition rooms, film theatres, interactive terminals etc.) provide visitors with in-depth information about the site and the heritage of the Saint Hilaire district.
Activities from April to September.
Starting point for many walking trails.
Temporary exhibition "Savoir-fer".
