LA BARRE DE MONTS

Spend a day at this fascinating museum in Le Daviaud and discover the natural and human history of the Vendée marshes.

Push open the door of a bourrine or salorge, meet ancient breeds of animals, experience the way of life of the marsh people and try your hand at traditional crafts. The museum showcases examples of the architectural heritage of the region, as well as its traditional activities and natural resources. And it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind in a protected, natural environment.
Horse and cart rides, organised tours and product tastings… there is so much to discover at the Vendée Ecomuseum.
Le Daviaud is hosting an exhibition entitled “The marshes revealed“, which will run from 6th April to 30th September.

Opening times:
February, April and November vacation: Wednesday through Sunday from 2:00pm to 6:00pm.
May, June and September: Wednesday to Sunday from 2:00pm to 6:30pm.
July and August: daily from 10:00am to 7:30 pm, except Saturdays from 2:00pm to 7:30pm.

Admission:
7 € (July/August) ; Off season : 5,50 €
Reduced price : 4 € (July/August) ; Off season : 3 €
Free for children under 5 years.
