The “Musée des Traditions Populaires” (Museum of Popular Traditions) is housed in a former school dating back to 1891.
The Museum presents an image of everyday life at the beginning of the
20th century as experienced by the people of the Pays d’Olonne, an area which combines coast and countryside.
In the six exhibit rooms, visitors will discover traditional arts and crafts,
costumes and headdresses, a country interior, coastal activities and occupations, a schoolroom and memorabilia from the First World War.
