MAISON DE LA VIE RURALE

LA FLOCELLIERE

Tucked away amongst the hills of the Haut Bocage at the foot of the Vendée’s highest point, the “Maison de la Vie Rurale” (House of Rural Life) is a historical delight just waiting to be discovered.

As you wander amongst its open parkland and cultivated gardens, you’ll discover an entertaining and educational nature trail where you will learn all there is to know about organic gardening, the bocage landscape, traditional habitats, forgotten vegetables, ponds and much more besides. In all, over a thousand wild and cultivated plant species live and grow side by side in an enchanting and protected environment.

Opening times:
From 6th/05 to 17th/06: Sundays from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.
From 18th/06 to 31st/08: everyday (except Fridays and Saturdays for groups). During the week from 10:00am to 12:00pm and 2:00pm to 6:00pm.
Sundays and bank holidays from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.
Events organised from Ferbuary to October.

Child (6-18 ans): 2,50 €
Concessions: 3 €
Guided tour and sampling (on Sundays only)
