MOULINS DU MONT DES ALOUETTES

LES HERBIERS

Since as far back as the 16th century, millers have draped sailcloth over their mills on the Mont des Alouettes.

Join them on a visit to the last such mill of the seven that once existed still to be in operation. Learn about the different grades of flour which are ground using flint millstones and enjoy the incomparable panoramic view over the landscape of the Vendée Bocage.

Opening times:
From 1st/05 to 31st/05: Saturdays, Sundays, bank holidays from 10:00am to 12:30pm and from 2:00pm to 6:00pm.
From 1st/06 to 30th/06 and from 1st/09 to 18th/09: daily except on Tuesdays from 10:00am to 12:30pm and from 2:00pm to 6:00pm.
From 1st/07 to 31st/08: daily from 10:00am to 7:00pm.
Tour: 20 minutes.
Last tour 30 minutes before closing time.
