MAISON DES LIBELLULES

CHAILLE SOUS LES ORMEAUX

On the lookout for dragonflies!

Visitors to the Maison des Libellules, a 400 m² dragonfly discovery centre housed in a former presbytery, will learn all about this magnificent insect and its natural habitat in the valley of the River Yon.
For 2012, a temporary exhibition focuses on “pavement gardens“ and takes a fresh look at the role of wild plants in an urban setting. Outside, the garden offers a tranquil oasis in which to relax and observe nature and provides visitors with some useful tips on how to create an ecofriendly garden of their own at home.
Activities (wild cooking, nature walks, canoe trips) and events (open-air cinema) are planned between March and October.

Opening times:
Easter holidays (8th/04 to 6th/05), June, 1st/09 to 16th/09, All Saints’ holidays (28th/10 to 7th/11): everyday except Saturday from 2:00pm to 6:00pm.
May: Sundays and bank days from 2:00pm to 6:00pm.
July and August: everyday from 10:30am to 7:00pm.
From March to October: on prior booking for groups.
