Our early 17th-century family home, listed on the ISMH (Inventaire Supplémentaire des Monuments Historiques), is a rare example of this type of Huguenot residence in the context of the French Huguenot tradition. Its history, architectural quality and the coherence of its ensemble - 17th-century Tower House, 19th-century wing, Vendée wing, and the rarity of this type of Huguenot residence in the Bas Poitou region, it was of such heritage interest and a family attachment that we decided to preserve and renovate it in 2016 to provide our guest rooms with a timeless setting while preserving its soul.
