MAISON DES ECLUSES À POISSONS ET PÊCHES TRADITIONNELLES

INFORM and TEACH to PRESERVE and SHARE THE ATLANTIC OCEAN HERITAGE.
The association members work towards this goal:
- they keep up fishing activities in the Ecluse à poissons ou pêcherie N° 7 (fishery) known as Bon Secours, in Pulans, in the Cantine inlet in La Guérinière, which was used before 1873.
- they welcome guests to La Maison des Ecluses et Pêches Traditionnelles.
This museum in a World War II blockhaus exhibits the beach’s flora and fauna along with the history of fisheries on the Atlantic coast and Ile de Noirmoutier and preserve shellfish gathering equipment.
