A true testament to the ingenuity of Renaissance builders, this windmill is the only wind-powered monument to have never stopped turning since its construction in the 16th century. Even today, the Moulin de Rairé remains a symbol of our attachment to the techniques of yesteryear and our respect for the know-how of our ancestors. So there's no electric motor to turn the wings! Don't hesitate to drop in and see for yourself this testament to traditional milling. Wheat and buckwheat flour is produced on site.
In the shop, you can buy flour, biscuits, local products and crêpes (not open to visitors).
